How to Submit an Item

By submitting an item to this website, you acknowledge that you understand the submission will be displayed on the Internet where others may view the item. You give TargIT MarkIT Associates, the publisher of this website, permission to contact you regarding your submission.
It’s Easy! Choose a main menu section and select the best topic for your submission. Click the Submit an Item button in the header and complete the form. You must fill-in the boxes that have a red asterisk (*).
Submitter’s Information is needed to verify your submission and to contact you if we have questions about it. Your contact information will be kept confidential; read our Privacy Policy.
If the submission includes Sub Category or Location, look through the list to select the best one. If more than one applies, write a note in the Comments & Suggestions box. We’ll handle it so you don’t have to repeat the submission.
The Title is your headline to get readers’ attention. Include your organization's name and a brief reference to your subject. Check out some examples already online. Please AVOID ALL CAPITAL LETTERS --- it makes your Title harder to read.
If the submission form includes Address fields, and you use them, a "Google Map" link will display online giving folks directions to the location.
Include in the Text area Who, What, Where, When and Why. Try to briefly cover each of these in the first paragraph. Put relevant details in additional paragraphs. Explain how to get more information; put a phone number in the Text area or include your website and email address in the appropriate fields. It's strongly suggested that you write your announcement using Microsoft Word, check your spelling & grammar and then copy & paste it your announcement into the Text field. Note that special fonts, colors, formats and characters will not display --- this is a text-only field. Please AVOID ALL CAPITAL LETTERS --- they make it seem like you're SHOUTING and it's harder to read your announcement.
Website links to your website. Include "www." and double-check it for accuracy.
If you fill-in Display Email, your email address will be displayed online. Include your email address only if you really want folks to contact you through email.
Upload Image (e.g. logo or photo) to draw more attention to your item. A .jpg, .png or .gif file may be uploaded. Click on the Browse button to locate the image file in your computer. Then, click on the selected file’s name to fill-in the Upload Image field. Images should be no more than 500px wide prior to uploading them. If the image is larger than 500px wide, use shrinkpictures.com to resize it.
Use Comments & Suggestions to let us know what you think or if you’d like us to add Categories or Sub-Categories. We really want your feedback; it helps us improve.
The Expiration Date helps avoid outdated information. Use your best judgment if your item is not date-specific.
NOTE: The Expiration Date only displays on Community Calendar items. Date-specific submissions made to other sections must include dates and times in the Text area.
The Security Code in the scramble-box helps assure high quality. This field is case-sensitive; letters must be entered as seen.
PLEASE --- Double-check your submission before you click Submit Item. You’re not able to make revisions yourself.
Immediately after submitting your item, you’ll get a message in your browser saying it was received and it’ll be online after clearing our screening process. EVERYTHING must be Rated-G. Check back to see your submission. If there’s a glaring error or if something has changed, contact us. We’ll do our best to help.
